Jesus’ words, “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” The LORD JESUS did not shed His blood in vain for any of His people. The depth of what JESUS did and finished in saving all of the world of His people (yet, soberly, not all the world of mankind), but only for His people did He come and save from the depths of darkness and the depravity of sin within. Any sin is evil and all of God’s people does He bring to see how vile we are within – we are those who persecuted and did evil to CHRIST, GOD’s Lamb who lovingly bled and died in our place. We sheep are so blinded by our own sins until we hear the loving voice of our Shepherd speak. Saul was one very educated in the things of GOD, yet as GOD’s words state, “Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.” (I Corinthians 8: 1) Saul being puffed up, having knowledge of GOD was void of experiencing JESUS’ grace while he was learning. Saul thought before CHRIST spoke and brought conviction to him, that he was serving GOD and doing what he thought would please GOD, but in reality Saul was persecuting CHRIST, his beloved Savior. JESUS loved Paul and all of His people before the foundation of the world. JESUS did hate Saul’s sins and all of His people’s sins so much that He shed His blood to cover all the sins Saul had done, and the sins His people had done. It is truly the Amazing Grace of GOD to be covered by the precious holy blood of the Lamb!

How did the Good Shepherd work? He worked by sending forth the pricks in Saul’s life that made it painfully hard to kick against, humbling the apostle Paul to be so that he would no longer continue in the dominion of sin. From that day on Saul experienced the power of CHRIST beginning the work of mortifying his sin nature and sins within, raising Saul by the power of His resurrection out of the deadness of sin to truly serve the Living GOD in sincerity. Saul experienced the power of CHRIST working in him to love sincerely His Savior and His Church, being completely transformed by the mighty power of GOD. GOD delivered Saul and God delivers all His people from the power of Satan, sin, and darkness. GOD forgave Saul and He forgives all of His people. Thank you, Lord.

PRAISE TO THE SHEPHERD    May 13, 2018

Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition, but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.  Hebrews 10:38-39

Glorious is the love and power of JESUS’ faith given to His Church whereby we do not draw back all the way unto perdition, but by His glorious love and inward working power (the same power that raised JESUS from the dead) we believe in Him and His finished salvation; thus, we experience such mighty active working power of GOD continuing in us so that we believe to the saving of our souls.
The sobering reality is that we would all draw back unto perdition without The Good Shepherd’s love and faith. Even when any of His children backslide, He does not suffer them to slide all the way back unto perdition but has His glorious time of putting forth His power and delivers all for whom He shed His blood.

For it is GOD which works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure.                      Philippians 2:13

Thank you, LORD, for all that you are and for all you do within your children, so that we perish not in our own sin
